Online Privacy
Data privacy responsibilities are important at Karina Napier Creative. I want you to understand and feel confident about how I collect, store and handle your personal information like email addresses and contact information.
Any information that you submit on this site is private. Your information is not shared with any third parties nor is it used in any other way without your expressed consent.
This site complies with the new data protection laws that came into effect on the 25th of May 2018 in all EU countries (and beyond). The act is called EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, E.U. Model Clause Principles and the APEC Privacy Principles. Many of those international standards will continue under the “General Data Protection Regulation” or GDPR.
However, I use third party analytics software from Google and Squarespace. This site, built with Squarespace, uses cookies to avoid showing you the same pop up multiple times, for example.
I don’t serve ads to site visitors using any third-party tools. And at any time, you can opt out of hearing from me. These two resources generally help with opting out of unwanted online advertising: YourAdChoices or Your Online Choices.
If you have any queries regarding the Privacy Policy or the manner in which your personal information is handled, please write to admin@karinanapier.com.
What is GDPR?
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation, a new privacy law that regulates the processing of personal data relating to individuals in the European Union.
GDPR strengthens the rights that individuals have regarding their personal data, and seeks to unify data protection laws across Europe.
What does GDPR mean for you?
We’re treating everyone as if they lived in the EU. This means that if you’re reading this, you can:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data I’ve collected about you. The answer is: Your email address and name.
- Request that I stop sending you direct marketing messages. I do not currently send email marketing newsletters, but should that change, you can simply opt out.
